Last year, we had a convention for Nutritionist-Dietitians in Vigan and I really wanted to go. Three of us volunteered to represent our office. According to the most scientific tool of selecting the convention representative, the draw lots method, another office mate had to attend. I was disappointed. That incident of negativity, turned into a blessing. First, because I was able to attend the 4th Anniversary of the Wednesday Feast Alabang where I was present from the first to the third anniversary. Secondly, on the next day, Thursday, I was able to attend the Feast Makati's gathering where I was über blessed to be prayed over by Brother Randy Borromeo, the Feast Builder of Feast Makati Thursday group. The worship song during that time was so prophetic. I believed that If the Lord really wanted me to be in Vigan for the convention, in just a snap, the slot would be mine but He had another plan. He wanted me to be at the Feast so that I would be empowered and be touched by the Him through this song...

As mentioned earlier, the Feast Makati Builder invited the attendees who were called by God to start something new--new career, ministry, business. I stood up and went in front. Bro Randy prayed over us and declared that everything will be taken care of. The connections, resources, everything will be provided for whatever it was that we wanted to start. He also asked us to pray to the Lord a prayer of thanksgiving before we go to sleep as we claim the success of whatever new endeavor we are going to venture in.
Months before, I was planning to look for another job but I did not have the courage to move on. But after that gathering at the Feast Makati, I started to be confident that God will never leave me and that He will provide and guide me. Days after, I started to look for a new job. Less than a month after, I started working for my new company.
In my previous work, I asked the Lord to bring me to Ilocos for several days, but He had a different plan. He would not want me to be in 'this' place for a few days but He wanted me to stay 'here' for several months. Now I am working for a different company and presently based here in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. This time, it is not I who asked to be here but my boss asked me. Initially, I did not want to accept the offer but today I realized how the Lord moved in this scenario. How sweet it is! Aside from work, I will be doing ministry activities. My God is indeed a gracious God for He does not only give my wants but also the real desire of my heart... to serve Him in whatever way I can. Hangkyut mo Lord!
